The Do LaB Announces Contest to win a FREE ROUND TRIP TO EGYPT and Scholarship to attend The Great Convergence 2012 at the Great Pyramids of Egypt + New Video!
The Do LaB and TGC are excited to announce their new contest for one lucky person to win a FREE ROUND TRIP TO EGYPT from anywhere in the world and a scholarship to attend THE GREAT CONVERGENCE 2012 at the Great Pyramids of Egypt, an amazing three day music festival followed by a five-day Nile cruise to occur over the Winter Solstice, December 20-28, 2012. The contest details are below.
The Do LaB and TGC also just released a video featuring some of the participants in this intentional gathering talking about their connection to the event, the pyramids at Giza, and the power of this unique time in history. Please take a moment to watch!
The Great Convergence is a calling of the tribes to gather from across the globe for a once in a lifetime experience to intentionally celebrate this potent, transformational time in our lives culminating in a prophesied galactic astronomical alignment that happens once every 26,000 years.
The Great Convergence will include a selection of top electronic music producers and DJ’s from the west coast’s music scene including headliners Beats Antique, Apparat, Random Rab, Bluetech, Gaudi, Govinda, Desert Dwellers, David Starfire, DJ Dragonfly, Imagika, plus Moontribe DJs: Treavor, Brad, and Dela. Additionally, there will be panels and workshops with various experts including Carmen Boulter of The Pyramid Code, Philip Coppens of Ancient Aliens, and Daniel Pinchbeck, author and founder of Evolver/Reality Sandwich, among other Egyptologists to discuss the mysteries of the pyramids and the prophecies of our times.
After the three day music event under the pyramids, the journey will continue from Dec. 23rd-28th with a 4 night/5 day Nile River cruise traveling from Luxor to Aswan to explore some of the world’s most ancient temples during the day while evenings will be opportunities for connection and dance on the rooftops of our boats under the stars.
ABOUT THE GALACTIC ALIGNMENT
This particular winter solstice on Dec 21/22, 2012 not only denotes the completion and renewal of our yearly orbit around the Sun but also culminates in a prophesized galactic alignment that happens once every 26,000 years. This alignment is what many ancient cultures, like the Mayans, were pointing towards with the completion of their calendars.
Some consider this alignment to be the marker of the beginning of a new era or a new age. Some consider this to be a transition into a new paradigm and an evolutionary turning point for the Earth and humanity. We are certain that something is happening and we will generate a lot of energy in our coming together in Egypt. The Great Convergence Itinerary
Not long ago we visited the ancient land of Egypt with the intent to create this gathering. As you probably can imagine, we had one of the most extraordinary experiences of our lives and can barely wait to create new magical stories with all of you.
For many moons, we’ve been crafting an unforgettable 3 day event for us to come together and share an outstanding adventure of a lifetime. From the enchanting streets of Cairo to the mysterious passageways of the king’s chamber , there will be mystical moments waiting for us around every corner.
The itinerary and plan of this gathering is still unfolding and will continue to do so until we all emerge in Egypt, but in the meantime here is a little, flavorful taste of what you can expect.
Upon our arrivals, we will make our way to Giza, home of the Great Pyramids. After settling in at our hotels, we will have an initial poolside meet and greet followed by a series of presentations, panels and discussions to engage our curiosities about the mythical stories of this land, the unfathomable megalithic structures, and this historical, prophesized moment in time.
In the evening we’ll take pleasure in the charming poolside persian gardens of the Mercure Hotel with an eclectic mix of some of the top music and artists from the west coast dance culture.
The following morning we can choose our own adventure either lounging by the poolside and dancing or taking day trips to some of Egypt’s finest offerings.
One of these trips include the khan-el-khalili bazaar in the heart of Cairo for those of you interested in hunting for authentic egyptian wares and experiencing the sights, sounds, and smells of this remarkable culture first hand.
Or perhaps you’re interested in visiting the famous Cairo Museum to dive deeper into the ancient histories of the egyptian dynasties and see some of the most incredible historical artifacts in the world, like King Tutankhamun’s burial treasures.
Maybe you’re more interested in seeing first hand the 2,300,000 blocks that make up the megalithic structure that is the Great Pyramid and possibly get the chance to ascend through the narrow passageways into the king’s chamber.
Another possibility is a romantic camel ride through the desert sand dunes around the Giza plateau to the legendary Sphinx.
Your final option for ‘choose your own adventure’ is what is believed to be the first egyptian pyramid, also known as the stepped pyramid of the Saqqara Necropolis. If you choose to visit Saqqara, on your return path you will get to experience hand crafted oriental rugs in the making while sipping hibiscus tea.
On the evening of December 21, 2012, we will head to the Giza Plateau, only a few hundred yards from the foot of the Great Pyramids, surrounded by a 360 degree desert landscape of sand dunes. Awaiting us will be an elaborate setup of bedouin tents, ornate altars, egyptian handwoven throw rugs, shadow casting lanterns, casbah style tables with arabic pillows and seating, and a fully equipped middle eastern style stage with state of the art lights and sound.
As we begin to celebrate the ending of an epoch and the ushering in of a new era, we will open with a theatrical ceremonial story of the cosmic forces at play. After we set our intentions for this new cycle, the stage will come alive with our hand selected lineup of musical talent.
We will dance, laugh, share stories over shisha, celebrate and wander out into the desert to gaze at the stars, while taking a breathless view of the pyramid lit up from all directions. Many memories will unfold here. Those of us that are fortunate enough to converge on this place at this time will be sharing unforgettable moments that will be with us for the rest of our lives.
In the early morning hours, after our departure from the Giza Plateau, the beats will continue in the private nightclub of the Mercure Hotel until the sun rises on the first day of the new era.
After a bit of rest, we have the option to adventure out and see more of Egypt’s offerings or lounge poolside with old and new friends alike for continued dancing and celebration.
On this final evening, we will join together in the persian garden for a closing ceremony in honor of our time here.
This concludes our initial 3 day mythical adventure. But for those of you that choose to continue exploring with us on our Nile Cruise adventure, this is really only the beginning.
