Press Release

Celebrity Stylist Ugo Mozie Teams up with Rogue Jewelry Designer Frank Wilder for Collection Release April 22.

Enigmatic jewelry persona, Frank Wilder, and maverick style icon, Ugo Mozie, have joined forces to release an uncommon collection of eye catching jewelry dropping Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Noon. The collaborative Eagle Collection features Wilder’s pioneering technique, which merges the traditional process of lost-wax casting with the modern process of 3D printing, for a truly cutting-edge and beautiful collection of silver and gold bracelets, necklaces, and rings.

Even before its official release, the Eagle Collection has been spotted on Justin Bieber and other style icons. After having caught the attention of international jewelry enthusiasts across the web with statement rings and totems boldly crafted after mythic creatures, Wilder has acquired an impressive 40k instagram followers, rapidly growing at a rate of 500+ every day.

This collaboration with Ugo Mozie is the first of many collaborations to come from Frank Wilder. Mozie recently debuted a fashion line with world-renowned celebrity clientele ranging from Chris Brown and Justin Bieber to Larry King, and has worked on projects for the Oscar Awards, Sex and the City 2, Vogue, and GQ Magazine. Ugo Mozie also served as the US PR director of Vivienne Westwood in 2014 and just a few weeks ago was recognized as one of Complex’s ‘25 under 25: The New Young Leaders of Style’.

Mixing conventional jewelry casting with modern technology, Wilder, whose identity still remains a mystery, has pioneered a new method for jewelry making that he sells in collaboration with other artists to showcase and empower their artistry through the medium of totems.

Drawing inspiration from a variety of sources as wide-ranging as velociraptors, the movie Jaws, Pablo Picasso, and travels to Bali, Frank Wilder creates finely sculpted digital totems in the forms of pendants and rings. A recent ring in the form of a fierce wolf was inspired by Kayne West’s track titled ‘Wolves’, and represents a statement of the rapper’s fiery attitude.

Wilder’s Eagle Collection collaborator Ugo Mozie is one of the fashion industry’s most sought-out stylists, and is among one of the youngest fashion editors in the world. Born in Nigeria and raised in both Houston and Los Angeles, he infuses his African heritage with his Southern and West Coast backgrounds to create a distinctive sense of style.

Speaking on his partnership with Ugo Mozie, Wilder says, “Ugo was an early supporter of my work and I have always admired the bold yet elegant touch of his styling. It was a natural step for us to partner for the Eagle Collection.”

At odds with the banality and transience of fast fashion, Frank Wilder and Ugo Mozie’s Eagle Collection is set to offer discerning audiences a refreshing take on accessorizing. Describing the collaboration, Mozie says, “I’m incredibly excited to work with Frank Wilder and bring his unique art and talents to a larger audience. The attitude and passion of this line will revolutionize traditional jewelry making, and will merge a sense of old-meets-new with Wilder’s cutting-edge design techniques.”

The Eagle Collection arrives at Noon on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in Los Angeles at www.frankwilder.com. Aesthetes looking to add to their collection of distinctive jewelry should mark their calendars, as this inaugural collection is expected to sell out quickly.

Frank Wilder’s jewelry is available for purchase online at FRANKWILDER.COM, with additional items introduced in the upcoming months.
